• IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE

We are excited to inform our patients our dentists and hygienists are back to work. So whether you need to address a tooth issue, or book a cleaning, please let us know. Please keep in mind, that we are still focusing on addressing the backlog of patients that has resulted from our closure due to Covid-19. We ask for your patience as we work on getting patients booked.

All staff and dentists will have their temperatures taken twice daily and be screened for Covid-19 symptoms. Staff will also be social distancing at the clinic, apart from when it is not possible, when providing treatment. During these times, they will be wearing PPE. You will see us wearing some enhanced personal protective equipment (PPE) since your last visit. Depending on the procedure, it may include: gowns, goggles, faceshields, and N95 respirators.

We have added a plexiglass barrier at the reception desk, and two new windows to some treatment rooms for increased ventillation and fresh air. We have three new doors as well, and two of the doors were to enclose two previously open treatment rooms. A HEPA filter has been added to our HVAC air conditioning unit, and HEPA air purifiers in each treatment room. Less patients will be booked each day to allow for social distancing, and rooms will be used in a rotating fashion so that they can be left vacant after being used.

Here are the changes you can expect at your next visit:

1- Patients are asked to come to their appointments ALONE. Any non-essential escorts will not be permitted entry to the clinic. (Some exceptions apply: minors, caregivers, translators, special needs).2- Our waiting room is CLOSED. All non essential items have been removed (magazines, pamphlets etc.) Patients must remain in their cars and call upon arrival. You will be asked some Covid-19 screening questions before being asked to come to our door.3- You are encouraged to arrive with your community mask on, or you will be provided with a mask.4- Your temperature with be taken with a non-contact infrared thermometer. If normal, you will be invited inside and required to sanitize your hands, and again before exiting.5- You will be brought directly into your treatment room and will receive a mouth rinse.6- You will receive treatment with a rubber dam whenever possible, if applicable.7- You will need to wear your mask when the treatment is finished, and sanitize before leaving.

**Any patients receiving treatment will be asked to contact the office if they develop any Covid-19 symptoms, or are diagnosed with Covid-19 within 14 days after having their appointment with us.

We are also cleaning high touch services multiple times daily and doing enhanced cleaning and disinfection at the end of the day. Any parcels arriving will be handled with gloves and wiped down, along with the countertops it touched.

Patients over the age of 65, and/or with certain medical conditions will be given preference for the earliest morning appointments.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call. Thank you for your patience,

Dr. Power and KV Dental staff
